In their sophomore release “Buy My Ashes” — out August 18th via Magic Death Sounds, Acid Orphan beckons you into the erie smog of a horror pop underworld: a place of self doubt and longing for beauty and power. In this seductive nightmare, Cicada O’Kain’s vocals float above the song’s hypnotic groove while demons murmur at the periphery. As the song reprises, Flesh Prince’s voice descends to meet Cicada’s in a harmony that envelops the listener in a ghostly swirl. “Buy My Ashes” is the shadowy counterpart to Etheric Felines’ debut single “Birth House”. Etheric Felines are now in the studio recording their debut EP “The Selves We Bury” and plan to release it this fall via Magic Death Sounds.
